5 ?8 @. E7 o5 w7 n1 Q  `* g    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
' B4 K% [9 U' d4 V    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
' r5 @, W& o' ^4 |! F0 S4 ~& t    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
9 F5 t/ V5 x1 `. e    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

Qualifications

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
* Q# p/ T+ \& x+ o    * Minimum of one year of related experience in some aspect of analytical mass spectrometry is required

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

& Q# r& P' Q  k/ q0 H5 N本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。


) m: \9 b+ M% {3 V+ d/ P好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
