* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
& m& N$ u. q6 U) {- ?6 W& q * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
- C5 `" B8 i% n: Y R; M. s( v' H: @) V * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
+ I0 ^* W5 u4 Y. _, H! w8 \3 ~ * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students 0 E/ W7 `; r; g% O
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
