  C9 W+ d( E2 m6 O1 i  l) o# \    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
+ @4 k! c  i. L" Z; w( Q0 W4 t( X    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
" `- t5 f1 [% G8 i+ x    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
1 z7 l! ~% _- w" u5 x1 l& e' \; ]    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
. _' t7 s, l9 @+ g2 \+ C1 V) RSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
' s. V9 Q/ \; y) fwage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

. ]' ]$ ]4 Z4 A% h- bti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
