* G8 q* s4 r* M# { * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications& z2 R2 c c$ u9 E8 t: E+ ^5 M8 R
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
* e# Z W: P! } h; `% K2 Q, U# e * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
4 j# Z6 }$ P. Z! F) M * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students ' q0 \2 I# @; u: V! v4 o) m
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
