C9 W+ d( E2 m6 O1 i l) o# \ * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications: e8 z- @9 v& ?; f
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
+ @4 k! c i. L" Z; w( Q0 W4 t( X * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
" `- t5 f1 [% G8 i+ x * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
1 z7 l! ~% _- w" u5 x1 l& e' \; ] * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment
