- i [2 u4 O& Y7 I * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications

( M, u- R+ M$ t0 A; Z) Y1 W * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
?) L; @; {; V+ T * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
! j9 A3 G0 g( ~ * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies/ v4 T! h( M, [
* Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs3 {; y1 `3 R/ A4 \/ x, q9 z
* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment
