A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.5 O( S p/ S, O( E! v5 A
The program includes the following elements:; A8 E9 ?5 S! Z& v7 N, i* B
• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)
" n3 t& P- l1 k* }* M• Standard Child Care First Aid
9 ~2 _; y- \% N$ l3 b• WHMIS
: X' e9 x+ j& E- m* Y# @• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
h, y6 D! A, }8 R7 {( J• Components to improve communication skills1 P6 q8 t, ~( e) {- ]
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search, o) ?: S5 G5 C+ J, `. c7 c. s1 P
• Practicum Placements

• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
4 C7 C3 j! U5 z6 Hof Canada
! t0 q% m- L+ i0 S+ v• have a Social Insurance Number
* r- a0 L" m' E$ O. ?# _- R• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
- P7 N- o5 S4 F# `* m% B• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent& [2 F$ t; |3 }% \! G
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time( f4 \* S" v& {* y3 z# E# w
program
% J- l! k. U) L1 l% mParticipants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet* R% ^: h! n/ {% k& W% a+ P
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
