A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

• Standard Child Care First Aid

• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care3 \3 E% x% P1 W$ W) _
• Components to improve communication skills
3 }0 Y6 G# V% i, a• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search) |/ y6 E6 q& V/ m7 H
• Practicum Placements) t& {; Y/ Z1 i- _' y3 c
Eligibility Criteria/ P. Z6 \6 d# Z6 q2 T
• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen

" t0 @+ X. [6 Z1 @; C! A• have a Social Insurance Number& ?# m9 W% L3 Z8 \, y6 i) [* T8 S9 C
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check5 B f/ j3 Q) }" h7 k+ f
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
! ~$ {8 }7 \7 L+ K' p0 a* p# O% O• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet- x+ E! W9 m5 k( ~- f1 u4 m
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
6 d; x5 t6 @2 T3 `6 T& Z# e5 r• be unemployed or underemployed.
% X% b" e3 c% KThey CANNOT quit their job to take the course
