This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and3 [3 j3 v' C% S' D, l+ U4 }
knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)

• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care

• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search; N+ ^+ ?8 E( [' o2 N
• Practicum Placements: e1 S) Z9 |% B4 M2 L7 F
Eligibility Criteria
0 o( {3 U% J7 c7 p• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen0 V$ ^! n7 N# M: O7 v
of Canada! q, C1 o( X9 P5 x# Y6 `0 j
• have a Social Insurance Number
+ _) P0 i' y8 H( _! `* I• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
) d( ~% ^: D: R3 B+ B( |• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent7 Q; T1 S* p) P$ H$ f
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

They CANNOT quit their job to take the course
