The City of Edmonton Bylaw #13145 defines a "restricted dog" as any dog:

& n" J5 e8 X4 z7 o' CThat has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal causing physical injury and resulting in a conviction under this bylaw
, W1 x9 t8 r6 m* [That has chased, attacked or bitten any person or animal on more than one occasion, with or without causing physical injury, and resulting in separate convictions under this bylaw + G9 K% w: y$ c
That has been made the subject of an order under the Dangerous Dogs Act
' D* C' h1 H0 A( j& [" t6 T9 o) VCertified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed Staffordshire Bull Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club
7 F& }) V6 ^9 kCertified by an Alberta licenced veterinarian to be primarily of the breed American Staffordshire Terrier as that breed is defined by the Canadian Kennel Club
