crude prices improves. This implies also to good names such as Shell,

Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few
' w+ u" C5 H6 S1 a0 n9 Hmonths. There are three wars going on in Gaza, Iraq and Afghandistan. . B- v% [0 W/ a/ p
A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at
& Y. v$ v# e: {2 Kleast $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. " ?8 v6 w: t3 _7 {! T; A

9 Y0 ~" c8 L' v9 wThere are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face - V9 `. O" y$ v" }: _
of so much news. These reasons are:

8 r+ j8 h j- _2. New natural gas has been found in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

4. Production of bio-fuels is beginning to reach critical mass. Bio

potential per acre in some cases is astounding. Many countries are

are now selling their used oil to bio-diesel producers. Every pork,
) L7 E9 i7 b# H8 ~+ bcattle, turkey and chicken processing plant will soon sell their fat
: a, l$ N1 p1 @! qto bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is # l U1 v, M1 A
producing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. ; S4 F' A8 F2 X2 K4 ]1 |

; T- E# w+ `0 @+ T% D6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and
, t8 C' E2 z+ dconstruction around the world at this time. Several hundred more are

will replace oil.

are experiencing 20% to 25% better fuel econony with the new

7 J, b' `: t1 t! g1 I" GAirlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio-

8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to 7 Z; _" J0 ~' |
capture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas
/ \2 V. t( Q8 z/ f/ r( t8 l. Zavailable at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude
/ H7 A# Y; n) A0 p/ a+ }; \oil.
" d, Y1 S3 f% ]! ?) q- U3 N( z) f$ Q; g& I9 z
) B1 C( c1 l/ }1 Z1 d) A4 U4 P9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2 0 `. F+ @: T$ O+ M# p* D7 G
produced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into
7 l8 q6 G% k. R8 Y, F. `2 R5 moil wells. + x# ^: u0 s# k+ `+ c
) V5 [- N& `8 T# }+ q3 m( j" r
4 \ i8 ?% D9 A3 {10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy 3 x9 ]- G1 {- T% v1 w
source. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US.

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the / O! y3 I/ L, A" }1 I
price of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world

to control oil prices.
