Job Description
Position: Youth Services Manager
+ V" Q; O  X- @! aFull time position (35 hours each week)

! l5 Z7 |" z  U& ]2 F, h4 fJob Description – Responsibilities
0 M' ^8 `6 s. ~6 Q- w7 Y•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
% W+ g4 |/ P* R& N7 b1 g* Z& f•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
' f! B8 T! q) o$ V, \0 p•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
3 _8 [( m+ o: b! o) m& P1 [•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
$ p# ^' a7 J( @2 s•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
* r8 B8 \, b% a' V" ~•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
9 ^9 d6 O8 F7 B; n) ^•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor
! u  v, Z  g) v$ w1 B/ l& r  c
Qualifications
•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset

•        willingness to learn

•        requires police security check at the expense of employee and child welfare check
