Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant

Major Responsibilities: . s% j4 `1 c8 i; H7 R9 S( x
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
1 q5 U( @# l/ p+ h* U• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
0 b/ A- Z; R- e1 I5 o0 \• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. 2 ]' ^7 l! i& n- P
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.( P8 k' L% @( k" y, E: G$ L$ o
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.$ C& D7 L% |3 _/ H: A
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.2 s4 `/ a! B5 y
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.! P. {& N, n4 a3 ]7 p
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive." x! @3 N9 P3 S
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
+ J" ~' q M9 F7 o7 {" o/ A7 F. _• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
) J" ?8 f G0 W% _& I- m( K• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.8 M* L: [/ \" i6 C- |
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
, f6 A6 Y6 C! ^8 H9 ~+ {' \• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

, P4 i) ?( P7 b) n/ p/ Z% d• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
& K, _9 u0 m6 G- C4 D- A7 j6 K' ?• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. * j1 c5 a" s( k4 `6 z
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. # E4 w+ o* L" A* v4 l% }6 h: \
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
- l9 s+ r0 s7 A• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential' ]- g: Y& f% X3 O: Y( z+ F
• Not scared of heights8 s+ X1 S4 f) K' T4 h% f
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other8 m: G+ ^7 y. F5 G
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
