Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant6 ^- o$ G! G9 `$ f# |. c5 b* T

Reports to:        National Sales Manager; k5 S* H/ A5 E/ r

Major Responsibilities:   [* z+ P1 H2 }
•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations." Q  K5 x/ Q1 V* ~5 Q
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
1 }: F. h- b6 X0 j/ }( W4 c- u•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
* `: R) Z/ R& g* v' Y, y$ F) G/ q+ E•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.3 `8 p9 {5 m6 @1 C
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.* {7 T6 Q# j+ B8 O/ l5 C- \+ w
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
9 Z* Q( T9 e& g•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
- ?5 x! g, i% n& c3 i: Z•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
  w% y$ F5 M2 q•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.2 N6 `! o$ Q5 g1 S* |" ~& P
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
- _" F  p5 |5 E1 ~8 q# w. k% S•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
. t2 N9 h+ `4 e- ~2 c•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.
$ w: G7 i& P/ t/ Q! R; T4 {•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.% S$ P/ v0 i, B, B/ c' K; M
•        Other duties as assigned by supervisor.& c" Q8 ~2 J- h/ t) r

•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
4 A3 F- I9 e2 o7 R•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. - o, ?2 X' k# }6 C8 i7 Z9 `& S# ~: Y
•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. ' E' x, s2 H+ J
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
