$ ?) I) I- A$ R0 ?1 k    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
; d$ h& M' k# E( ?* A2 q/ Q    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
1 ~; O; d# _' m. |3 }, c1 N/ ]    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes: e1 Y1 {( O: m+ Z4 a8 v" b" |! c
    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
5 [6 A, q" X1 f& S8 f    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
! L' ]+ Y$ O% |7 `; f' i$ i& f    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
4 q9 Y2 Q/ N7 i  B/ Y" }    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs, y; ?: [/ c& V1 [; N1 g: N
    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
* y8 C6 A, ^6 H) y/ n4 j    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning) Y- O6 b) G* a" @) ~/ w$ w
    * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials, D; w7 M6 Q2 {1 ?: ^6 k
    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media7 |7 ~9 }9 H0 W
    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results

; ?7 n* s# m3 m9 F" @Qualifications+ H6 K7 z" q, m3 ~

7 ?: W0 y& E2 R+ c& h    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred9 {  S4 L9 b) V' ]* D
    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth: A/ Z( P5 W2 v# k9 ]
    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset( p! K8 B" {. M% ~
    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies: X8 ?! u6 v4 Y, K2 n
    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
' ^. _' Y& V5 y( J! q# V0 ?! `    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
2 A! @/ f5 M- o    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)/ _4 _  @; G8 E
    * Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
