! }; }, X A6 x5 d7 I * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
& {- K, {; T3 y* r! Z0 I! z * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities5 g# r5 K' a. q8 R
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes* A2 Y5 T+ d# C2 n1 f
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat+ ?4 f/ Y2 d4 H A3 }- L
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders2 r: e- |$ p2 K4 {) t1 d/ t5 Y
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
; A8 R H$ u2 d [5 S$ N+ h* @, q( I * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs$ P( @6 o4 [+ u( s8 \) l, I, L8 S9 c
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director% ^+ @ n" |$ U! B+ k B
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning; k) G3 H+ j5 }+ R
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials( }. f# `5 i; Z
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media6 A: `" w9 V; g+ A$ t
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results$ _2 b3 q3 w7 M- {$ O2 a: s; A% K
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications; R1 Q6 P+ s' X+ Y U1 U
5 U3 H* U* n3 w2 ]9 w" N$ s. @: K8 m * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred+ V! l1 d: k6 R0 ^
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
3 i$ v( R( B; ^: O) e Y * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
0 O/ c I2 T% u# y5 C * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies7 r: I' ^& T \ @( K4 |
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills0 Q, v' G* G/ K! [% L B5 T
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
1 V# p. j" B! C6 \: R" m * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
