' }6 Q3 F7 ~7 G# c * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
2 @. r6 k# |3 J& o4 Y& e* L$ A * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities8 _- W, Z: ~! v q* P
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes1 ]# y1 R. q/ i
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
0 W v& Y( F& d- F! z! } * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders: I% G; I' M) r) R$ ^" w5 d$ f
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
: F: H$ C6 P9 a& n: C* q * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
" x# z2 ]/ n8 p! ]7 ^ * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director2 N* y8 F, o4 v$ F2 {4 m% V5 r
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning' q/ V7 `9 a+ f V
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
+ Z f! ^+ i0 O2 G * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications
9 S9 C* J2 f9 A( C
: V: j2 d3 j1 c1 J * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred! F1 T7 u- D& N8 u. x
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth* r3 I- P4 V+ |8 ^$ {
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
; U# y/ X8 J, p( M: K: ~2 R. j/ K# B * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies" L {8 L& i1 k; r3 s. K
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
( R" _7 H$ g n5 s8 P2 ^# P7 K; h, ~. b * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
! }# Z% ]; l5 e * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)6 j, t- Q" J4 g7 o4 z s7 p$ s$ F
