* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program7 _: U7 f1 d j( U
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities4 J5 \ Q( ~2 [4 |* v9 n
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes, u; ~1 w( u. T& S& \: Z" P
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
7 F; f; e7 e0 i1 K * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders) z) e- K8 [8 Q1 y$ o, o4 z
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements% G; m$ m" {! z- `. Q
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
! \. J( e9 ]+ G- V8 L. Q8 V' \ * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director6 p, g% N0 f/ \1 o& U
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning- X% |' R! F, H0 Y$ l
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials7 B) U: r: I) `0 m# o
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
" J9 m- x6 z4 y * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results

, g+ e% j/ N( s1 A v0 H * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred. O6 |7 E! R: @$ `, ?0 K
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
; z. H$ L: T4 } n) B, F * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset, C1 [7 D) m! W1 ]- y2 z
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
! T# I$ w S( L! `3 z * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills+ n% P8 D0 G9 _/ i' Z
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning5 ?9 ~- B+ d J
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
