5 O* {0 Z' ~! `4 m& F * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
s* G* Z* X# E7 @; o * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities6 d0 l3 k; d( p# s
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes" N8 Q5 L% {+ s- X% P" c7 V% l4 j
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat! `8 U. _/ R5 G; K2 M: F
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders- H( L7 \9 F/ @. L
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements. m8 `* r! z: j1 ~# H* `: |* @1 L
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
- d2 g- O- l8 B. y- M3 c" O * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
+ Y! m% b; l' W5 Q0 G * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
! A# p7 k+ }7 B5 ] * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
! D8 K/ V, R3 f1 r0 O * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies* L$ X+ Q& j( i" \, R9 h

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred# @) T& \3 [8 h' t( @. |+ |
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
C8 p \* k7 u# p- Y2 h * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
% J% R8 z/ x$ V3 s' i * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
; g' Y# R: |7 b% z * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
% p2 b$ A2 C5 D2 b * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
$ {# {8 h# [" M4 q% Q * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
