$ z! e# J o3 [$ H' i * Provides routine technical and administrative support for sample preparations and mineral separation for isotopic analysis3 R- j. j5 O0 i8 @0 ?7 k" g* H
* Conducts mineral separation, sample imaging, grant mount preparation, sample weighing and iron exchange chromatography
) R; ~! T( H4 B# |: u( ] * Provides training to graduate students, visiting scientists on preparation techniques
& k5 o |8 h6 [9 F * Compiles analytical data using standard office software such as Excel, Word and Corel for use by the PI or client
; V6 f+ Z4 b* V5 w ^/ M$ C6 P * Performs routine maintenance on equipment and lab husbandry0 Y( m" k. S4 P6 `$ G. \! V
* Orders supplies, maintains lab records, maintain WHMIS records and compliance labeling, maintains lab inventory and safe disposal of chemicals

* Provides administrative support by maintaining records, (usage and expenses) and prepares invoices

* Post Secondary diploma in laboratory technology, Chemistry or Earth Sciences; BSc in Geology or Chemistry preferred! L. A7 x0 ^* ?% M4 c# u6 e9 V! [
* 1-2 years experience working in a research environment (analytical chemistry lab or geochemical lab)
2 _# B# ]% b" q, ]* p# e * Computer proficiency using MS Office applications and Corel
" |% V5 T% {! {2 F7 e * A thorough knowledge of lab safety protocols and WHMIS procedures
