1. Chemical list and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS’s)+ ^: }& O* i/ j! }% j7 E. f* \
• help complete up-to-date chemical lists for all laboratories within the department
7 A1 T0 n; \9 l. K4 \• collect and obtain MSDS’s for all chemicals9 C1 ~7 M" |+ u' S
• make sure all chemicals are properly labelled and stored
& i, i( F8 b' {- k1 G• proper disposal of all unwanted chemicals$ w! k0 G9 i/ P7 r q1 J/ e. c
• finalize chemical lists and then duplicate and label all MSDS’s for distribution to OH&S for the MSDS on line system.

2. Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) and Hazard Assessments (HA’s)5 |) e8 [6 t: p" v
• help update the department SOP’s and HA’s. This will include verification of existing SOP’s and HA’s and tracking any that are needed.5 e" z4 x. M7 P! V2 y
! `4 B: U( `5 g1 b' J& d3. Tracking System& b) [8 T5 |1 \5 ~* u9 d; j1 j# T
• help develop a tracking system for adding or removal of chemicals as well as continual updating and verification of SOP’s and HA’s 6 y; B5 J! \9 p: _3 j E- t8 q$ ~& g

Candidates should be inquisitive, thorough, and willing to learn. Some education and/or experience in safety is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment are required.
