Wow. In edmonton, if we're talking about academics, then it is definitely going to be in the following order

1) Old Scona Academic

3) Arch Bishop MacDonald+ `9 Q' M$ W5 U1 s# T" t
; I9 _* a# n# |4 H8 ]# C8 ]Strathcona is more known for being a "jock" school - in other words, very athletic. It was also more populated with caucasians... I don't know if that's changed in the last 4/5 years... maybe there are more asians there now? Don't know. , u! k$ B- l% R6 g7 f4 X* @

Anyways, besides Strathcona being well known for sports, I have never really heard of it being well known for other attributes... Yes there is an AP program, but as far as I know, IB (as offered by Harry Ainlay) is still more renowned. Also... Harry Ainlay has a french immersion program. :)! O8 s2 L' C( y% X' V3 Q

For students that have a passion for arts:
6 B/ {; h' b6 P% ZVic Comp used to be attractive for "artsy students", but now, the new Lillian Osbourne has taken its ranks for being an artsy school...
