What activities will I do during my road test?

· All Driver Examiners are licensed by Alberta Infrastructure and Transportation under the Driver Training/ \5 D+ |8 G/ Y( ~2 i
and Driver Examination Regulation. They are monitored to ensure they provide high quality road
5 o/ d$ @( t$ H6 ^tests. They should be courteous and professional, keeping conversation at all times relevant to the

What do I bring for my road test?9 z( c( P) h8 o% m' m# d
8 X1 ]# c' T2 ]% g9 _; J. J· You must have your Learner’s licence. If you have a temporary licence (non-photo)

0 E. w6 M' B+ K9 @1 g& G, C! }" [· Wear clothing that is practical for driving and comfort. It should be appropriate for the5 v$ p) A; I) B
weather conditions (in case your vehicle breaks down and you have to wait or walk).8 t6 ]0 V) M; `' k4 n5 N& t* I
· Your vehicle must meet all legal requirements (good mechanical condition, valid

' r0 R+ Y' h0 S' pdemonstrate two of the instruments or controls inside the vehicle, such as the hazard lights and windshield
% v, k4 \, ]2 g% \: x& @+ E; Hwipers. The Examiner will provide information before you move the vehicle about the route and the instructions

! T' R' ^5 u+ B! t· You will be given ample instruction in advance for each manoeuvre and activity.
& n# M6 n' X+ Y; H+ i) s· Points will be assigned for errors. You will be allowed a maximum of 75 points to pass the road test. J" @; ]! Y7 o( a& f2 O
You must not do anything that is considered unlawful, dangerous, or unsafe, (for example, speeding or not" {# R0 ]" O g2 O- f
stopping at a stop sign).1 T6 E D# h3 T
· The Examiner will not try to trick you.6 ^& P0 i0 }! e3 r6 F
· The Examiner will not ask you to do anything illegal.
7 W/ {6 v% H+ R$ g" q· When the road test is finished, the Examiner will highlight the areas you performed well, as well as; V1 u$ B) H2 p

$ G1 ?2 @+ c0 T, C$ ]# eTest Permit. This will indicate that you have passed. Take this permit, along with your learner’s licence, to any
' u# v6 ^6 Y+ z+ {. J, t" WAlberta Registry Agent to have your licence changed to a Class 5 Probationary Licence. There will be a fee for this
