Job Description

- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker

- post secondary diploma - T4 E2 F, t2 t& q

Job Description
7 x$ K4 z9 N+ h4 g: J- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community1 _& N' i% f7 T
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services) e8 b& h9 k' Q* y5 Q
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services: a3 G9 D* T5 O
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
: e9 ], i$ k; h$ I- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members9 ^3 v$ v2 R8 Z) u
- update ASSIST website4 s6 @0 G! X/ ^% X* y3 O: t9 m' m
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre9 c3 T* D- l) s9 ~# n2 M
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
9 M1 ^6 q+ K% n- assist in writing proposal for ISP
* O4 V- c6 Q0 s, a" @. W# N' _$ t- write quarterly and final reports for ISP2 K5 d7 Q" c" @! N
- hold regular meetings with ISP team# n- k( s" K2 _/ m
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
& ]& ]1 C! I$ F- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education - L5 N, R C) q _; m
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
' _. S p* M1 d8 o" z7 F- experience in community work and immigrant services
5 J" p* G, ]. v/ m- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
