Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker
: @8 Q; A  j# o2 M' l6 Y+ Z(Full time: 35 hours per week)

* X5 n4 ~! W' X4 v1 J# p$ t) o-        answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
-        assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
-        reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:
-        post secondary diploma
) D' s! _9 {0 O; w-        customer service and office clerical experiences
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

(Full time: 35 hours per week)

-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
& Z8 N( Z8 b/ O& M3 D8 O-        assist in writing proposal for ISP
8 P4 \2 p* G& Y6 L& `$ C-        write quarterly and final reports for ISP
-        hold regular meetings with ISP team
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
( k6 |) I8 I6 J2 M-        update membership database
6 l/ `, R3 m! Z3 ?+ g-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
$ r- _( U" D2 F) }) I-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
! ?- a' u% J" }6 m-        experience in community work and immigrant services
' O6 M8 m5 [6 d$ m$ P# |-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
