ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
" Z& }# O, K9 E+ a2 e2 Nrecombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
$ \6 f9 v/ D+ l! ]+ u" A1 Ktechnology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
, J- s4 F1 c* V2 V+ ^9 ~0 fstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

! ?% d0 l$ B3 w: JQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
/ l( o# X' \" R7 F, xobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
) |& r% ?! f) R& n$ hrelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
; X6 e. u# e/ y& S1 ~3 h5 trequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
  L  h* y. N3 Y2 x/ D& B5 y/ c& wcloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
$ K* f- e* J' E/ l0 V9 h3 Y6 dthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
