The Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University
8 e2 Q& C8 l$ J+ U; G$ n8 I- T of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the
/ {0 x0 o( f8 P eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and
/ V1 \8 K' N9 J% e4 Q customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on
8 m7 S4 H& \& k: I2 f this broad land.
* [6 K* `1 N7 _. T* r9 w
We encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to
; N  F; n8 L4 c% _; H0 J7 A contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and
talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in
0 z) i$ d9 w5 } performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show
7 T! ^& g, N8 s: q ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a
6 m5 c& k! \- f3 F6 a& Q lot of fun, like what we did before.

/ d8 A$ c3 q* h8 Y9 p8 g# }As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs
: K5 X' O; s; I) V sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),
stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any
performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your
) k9 U# ^) |, E5 R) q program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up
3 x" i' z, s0 u% S# I8 \/ L. |. k comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.

. F3 h6 R3 F: R; Z" fMeanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
& {# e, c- f" X! y. D$ r on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system
' T, C: e: \$ U. g% o control.
