• develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures

• develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
* O5 m' w" t& ]; P Q• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff) i, S/ \ T" c- R2 v: J" q

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others! h; g5 ]/ u B

& H: P# y1 I3 F. m5 N) N• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
- Q2 c$ u* x6 L• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
' o y H! w/ g• communicate the value of the organization to the public: u: D4 I0 T9 e
• identify community needs and trends; a' U' R {) F ?1 f& n
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
+ t; D/ C! d$ x' z" i( b, e• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
1 ]; o1 ?! Q+ x1 O. o g! q• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.. g/ c8 q4 H' B4 \4 P

Qualifications! _2 y6 d9 ~ {: O, J
- University degree in a related field; . P5 L8 \; S) a
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;$ n. T X4 t5 G- G K
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; " I8 N6 t1 p7 O L8 c( e
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization 8 W! Z6 P* d4 q

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 5 {: z" K# z& v! \' {/ d
