the logistical organization and smooth rental of the additional

This strategy will include implementing and/or delegating the following:+ ^; G, h$ E4 r8 Z* P2 b) \
· To develop and maintain promotional materials, the Horowitz
4 g& _3 r* J h) }Theatre and SU Venues home page, newspaper and other advertising; to
$ e# N3 o& U& [& r. f7 jtake advantage of other internal and external advertising : \$ \+ T7 \3 C1 H
opportunities; and to develop press releases and other promotional

· To coordinate tours of the venues for potential renters.

· To develop new external clients for the venues.

a. To ensure, at all times, that the venues are adequately and cost-
, g6 v+ T8 I$ h9 x9 teffectively staffed, and that the staff utilized by or within the ' g0 |+ a4 M8 V# x
venues meet the appropriate standards, requirements and needs, and
% `8 @1 z" U9 R; G+ ~' q! ~: Icontribute in a positive way to the smooth operation and success of # T. E7 X1 }7 m4 @! G$ q% U
the renter´s events. This includes, but is not necessarily limited ( z( ^3 O: {5 z
to, the following:& t: V3 J. G/ S& P. s. L1 q
· To be responsible, under the direction of the Manager of Venues 5 w# g* J% y; f% h1 @ j* L, D2 I
and Programming, for all staff issues including hiring, disciplining, ; z7 E. [' X0 j: E; f. `/ q0 W5 y1 ?* i) W
evaluating and terminating, as necessary.
3 \7 P% ~' J$ h# h- D7 k3 y; J To ensure that the Horowitz Theatre is adequately supervised at
1 h9 ~/ B8 G6 l0 g' \all times, this includes the development and implementation of such
. v# I3 Z1 o1 c) qschedules and rosters as may be necessary to ensure the effective and
4 j6 [7 {* u! P2 v5 [, {" v/ Q# mcost-effective supervision of the venues at all times during which it " F2 [; H9 |4 L$ y* b
is in operation or needs to be in operation.
$ e' ]. U9 {+ O, h· To work with the Technical Director, when necessary, to ensure ( A" T/ h5 q; E! j: s5 y C
that an adequate and appropriate level of part-time staff exists to 1 q0 p$ I J& a2 e4 a" }: {$ T
facilitate the smooth operation of the venues and to ensure all
4 i# d9 z% b# ]( [5 Z3 M- nrenters needs are met.
: [, Y+ B9 d9 G7 N7 _· To work with the Technical Director to ensure that the skills ! M& U6 f6 Y% `; c5 X
and attitudes of all subordinate staff are appropriate in light of 5 M; ~+ w. D' Z- f8 K9 m4 s* Y
the roles they must perform. This includes providing adequate and
( p2 }; A4 j# reffective training (and re-training) in all applicable and 3 J' S5 `9 z% M L
appropriate areas, and ensuring that the Policy and Procedures manual + ~3 Q4 o+ B5 `. N

· To ensure all staff are trained in and committed to providing

systems and processes utilized by or within the venues meet the

positive way to the smooth operation and success of the venues. This

Administration prior to their submission for final approval.

compilation of monthly and annual financial statements, and such

· To develop accurate documentation to be used in connection with

the requirements of the SU´s Manager of Programming and Venues and

needs, and contribute to the smooth operation and success of the

· To recognize, develop and set in place such rental procedures as

together with such other systems and procedures as may be necessary

functionally-effective operation of the Horowitz Theatre.

as may be necessary to ensure the smooth, efficient and cost- . ]* l7 X. r+ |1 H0 k& Q

· To negotiate rental lease agreements (contracts) relating to

· To ensure that adequate inventory is available at all times and

· To provide the venues on-site staff with such documentation and

· To produce quotes in respect to staffing costs for a particular
( m/ i7 v6 a8 K. I) \& L, U' N% s' Trental with consultation with the Technical Director.
3 u* ^+ [+ a1 A6 Y· To ensure that all queries raised with the venues whether from the
3 n+ Q, f) q7 Z6 \; ^SU or renters, are promptly and effectively handled and adequately 0 \. O! f6 H* a& ^& p" q5 y
answered, and to ensure that such action as may be necessary in
# |1 L7 _+ `% E5 U: Jfollow-up to such queries is taken in a timely manner.
* Y/ f* [) n- ^ To ensure that the venues and its capabilities are adequately, ( g; S1 o/ I& A! _9 u/ u: q
effectively and cost-effectively advertised and promoted, and that - W `! q( D" v: Y5 v
the cost of such endeavors does not exceed the budgetary provision 7 w1 a& ? q" `4 V6 s7 I
made for them unless prior approval is given by the Manager of
