  6-8 Week Term, August - mid September 2007

0 a0 T: u) c' k1 R2 JJOB SUMMARY:  Under the supervision of the Senior Operations Manager- 2 y, ]( }2 {' r
SU Print Centre and Operations Manager-Production & Technical  
2 L* }2 k+ v9 n0 b- A* A4 C- CSupport, these positions are responsible for assisting in all aspects  % i5 K1 T  K3 V: I2 a
of Course Pack production." {$ M" Q! @4 W; k& P  I

( N) E% J+ T# U8 @DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1 d! R" E4 {  m/ ]6 n8 p2 {
1) To assist in the creation of course packs, including the scanning  7 P; V6 [9 D) `) B# @
of paper files, editing of digital files, proofing and printing." O+ ]# ~% r1 }/ }
" O& b3 \( f8 J! }9 y3 n
2) To develop a good working knowledge of print equipment, including  
. P; _- E: U2 Z6 wprint queue, paper loading, toner and technical troubleshooting.7 C- ?4 p. z; P4 D' H! n; U

3) To assist with all aspects of bindery, packing and shipping of  ( |% U3 @# J: y6 w
course packs. This includes following operational procedures and  1 |1 P( z. Y! `2 d: m. e4 x
keeping appropriate and accurate records.

7 q! B+ o* o5 m# S: l4) To communicate stock needs and printing and bindery equipment  $ d9 d- K% j) j( v2 @

5) To develop a working knowledge of Access Copyright requirements,  3 \8 r0 _3 {+ o; n2 C- |

QUALIFICATIONS:3 n4 \$ V: ^6 D
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.5 Q+ j/ H6 \1 x8 l/ @/ T7 s
2) Attention to details. Excellent organizational and communication  + Y9 H. ~: {* b( v0 w
skills.
* }9 V4 W9 W2 V8 V  y* S3 C" @2 @- Y1 G  w
3) A good working knowledge of Windows would be helpful.1 E, i3 }% C8 L) j: ^

5) Ability to work in high stress environment.

Wage: $9.18/hour
