Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the8 s5 V9 s% U' l5 B& [
festival.
i8 a9 ~. @+ ~, O; GBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and$ O( ] y- g& c) ^% l1 u
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
1 v& j) V" [& y: G: X T# B+ Q# d/ kprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
' \* j8 X6 B8 D) ~8 u2 WChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the$ \* n" O6 v2 r) l
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
/ H6 X: N" ^# _6 h1 x- YEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for. ]3 ?( ]5 F- Q7 W$ I+ b
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
: N0 ?3 V# m U1 Trecyclables.
0 u% b: }- h* K; b3 b1 P* w/ j5 ZFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be( X; E, D: y4 t: Z+ @% D! x6 f/ F
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
+ v2 j+ ?/ F* W& C7 g8 ZHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
$ b: x' G. @8 }. Jthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late0 b; x! ]$ t# p' a7 I5 }
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
" \: Z* b5 c T" l) \" A6 `Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the0 P, c( Q/ j, i; X! T$ P9 n" }
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide) E* J: i. R$ B5 |
programs to visitors to the festival.1 @* U5 U+ K3 j# F1 u9 Q
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
& i1 Y# }7 i. R0 @- Z6 beveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
$ J: B" [ T% u# H% }Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
5 Q6 g1 x* Y& I5 e" E; D) W9 Tevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the: w% }" {& j- x! M5 p/ F, Z
festival.& h' Z, n% [) X( q4 B
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
9 F: M9 {( \% z! S0 \; [$ noperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you' P3 n7 Z* o |$ ^+ V* d
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
# w+ n% v8 x4 v1 H7 |( T4 E: xStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training! }3 u1 z, i, I k, L/ c
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
8 o. e- w' `2 x6 i$ B9 P0 zTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be6 W4 S' ^* z- }, ?! h
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
( r- T+ Q! a! G7 C, x5 uairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
% ]1 w0 ?- m% d8 C! S3 X) dstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
