Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the% x9 A3 N/ [, q
festival.
; P. Q5 P& N, b; Q# I) F1 sBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and0 M! s) E$ l3 K3 N
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
" n. @; F( N. v# w5 q( ~ A. Eprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
/ e* K( h+ ?( ]; F% L5 h6 s) ?Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the. }; D8 ~% j% y& t" ]
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
: \& X. t) N+ r5 T$ q6 pEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
- V* Q( N! k- B0 R3 ~, uvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the" U9 R v3 g% F2 F5 O! q
recyclables.
% ]& r/ ?/ B0 W" {; m+ K' RFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
! R% B' I' e, _, j, ?( opart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.1 H6 b. @4 O4 L5 k+ q
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
$ P! Y3 D8 w2 g- W4 H- tthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late7 s8 W* j z8 A) m$ C$ b0 n
hours are part of this crew’s duties.' V. z& C! j# k7 _: u
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
" g7 A& d9 `5 j, c, ofestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide* b$ ^& F5 a2 O! W U3 U$ L0 E: K0 {! ^
programs to visitors to the festival.
% n- A# P9 B- m( f# nKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
# B9 y- W6 l- l4 Beveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
# @- z- R! F; AOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
. t `' P$ d* y& cevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
% F% c8 I4 ]' `6 F8 V( V9 l& tfestival.4 f$ A0 {: R/ V+ J# I) R! C
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is- B+ O7 _6 G! o$ j( G
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
8 \2 \8 `: Q) F3 ]3 `2 {are physically fit and ready for any emergency.7 @( V, R) e# F/ S) W
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
) j4 K6 L; D: i3 U) N( ~0 ~and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
$ b( c1 I; f1 hTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be) m) R1 Z* o& S0 v
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
+ K6 M4 E4 M$ Y4 R5 s) iairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
/ B; ^8 Y; y/ H7 G. R6 }9 zstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
