ECBEA was approached by the Asian Chinese Opera Association to announce

followings rare operatic performance.  The organizer has offered 2 free

tickets for each school; please select 2 students from your school to
award

SUB
' D8 R4 l3 Z% ?1 {theatre, U of Alberta, Jul. 21, Sat. at 1-4 pm.  The casts are led by 2

instructors - Lau Wai Ming and Fong Suet Ying, both are Champions of
the
Cantonse Opera Contest in Hong Kong and was awarded outstanding
( E0 ~& [1 L6 d" f. v4 V  d9 b# lAchievements
/ n  o% i* g$ d+ e7 F4 ~) Din Arts Education in the teacher category by the Hong Kong Arts
Development
Council.  Children cast members are ranging from 6 - 15 years old.  The

& P8 _1 u" C" |% w$ Hperformance will be done in English with Chinese operatic music; plus a
few
& T& P4 [, {( [: ~; Rsongs in well-known Cantonese Opera... The performance was done to
$ Z4 B' T( n; vsold-out
crowds in various Hong Kong venues and received rave review from the
Hong Kong
