JOB SUMMARY: The Chief Returning Officer reports to the President of * w) b5 I( ? {1 h* J
the Students' Union and oversees all electoral logistics as per Bylaw ; `) u) s/ ]# C
2000. The Chief Returning Officer shall be recommended to Students' 6 k* P2 f! M" g. w* F- V8 h1 Y
Council in the manner set out in the Council Administration Committee

year following their appointment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1 u" g+ I3 A" N* j" f* @. X& h2) To run referenda/plebiscites as per Bylaw 2000.

To enforce budgetary regulations as stipulated in the Elections

10) To be available to all parties during elections/referenda for a

11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during

12) To ensure that a cost effective and accurate ballot counting , A1 I8 O# j8 M1 _
process is in place.

for each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students'

2) Must have some experience in student elections.

any of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position
