ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. Position Responsibilities

1 D( H5 S& Q4 E- }; nThe CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.4 A1 p0 A) M6 u1 o8 Q2 M( v0 a* z

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field. w2 [% ]& A, q$ k

Qualifications: 9 s2 h, f' o$ w! w; i" Z$ P7 l9 f! g; B: G
1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.1 L3 e3 w) V0 {
2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.9 U% p, i4 B0 b
3. Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
