BARTENDER - Room At The Top (RATT) - includes some serving

' F# \/ K$ }4 ]& U; [" j& }  X22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  7 y! s0 ]! p$ y+ k4 {& R% V- _
through Friday

% r$ g, x6 R0 E/ n. ?JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
( d2 A) }0 z' e% V6 t$ Y; xOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
4 }: ?5 `, n! M, G# u  p1 s6 [procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
+ C9 q: G* a, _' r$ B( D1 L# pcleanliness and order in the bar.+ v- G1 h! ?9 f7 H( X! z

$ [7 i) i) T3 z/ G7 c0 HDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
9 x8 H7 O8 ]7 ]/ C& H# v: I1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
7 M+ e8 ~* A% Z9 ubeverage items.* I! g0 E$ ^7 c* \& ^

% `& \, X6 C8 I2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
7 l7 B1 V( j9 \' ~  w& Sbar and debit floats.. N, U$ k6 H* Q
& J; u& o3 Y5 ^* s; E" y8 F" U
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
$ O4 u* P2 b, x& R3 T! j) Q1 `! qeach shift, and upon closing.
+ x( V" v3 @/ _6 J0 g* d1 h3 X3 M0 e% P; e. y: ^1 y0 o
4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
! I) K# a* c' D* B2 u3 yattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
; g3 U1 j; e& a6 }seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.* {6 U, B; M  h2 F- L+ q/ J

  c- a3 Y) u: x3 W6 K& p5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  7 W7 Q5 d9 |* P4 v, ?
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
2 N, F# `. \/ a+ P) G1 B1 u+ ^# c* hproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.# [! R: s0 s1 l* |% B

$ w# K: r, c& z6 p9 [6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
/ N% `. t* m" q- b* Kmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  ; v  |1 m2 E9 F1 T2 D8 D
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  1 J' h+ J, g1 P
accordance with Students' Union policies.& i* s3 Q5 R6 v, G% D

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
/ e4 _! r9 j, B' Phigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.1 ~8 @: W0 Y8 r1 L& w, T8 y7 K
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
  p( k" z2 F5 k) Q  d6 x+ lAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.
) O. X5 U/ y' B0 e- y" {- Z0 J0 d8 A* v4 p* q
9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
% |3 n9 ]- I5 oSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:7 @0 b) `9 Z! {" }+ E  ]4 [9 H# S
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.% l4 \% T  w% N; ?' r! u% Y# f+ p: O

" `0 L4 F& o/ q. U$ h8 c2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
- P. R, m4 w9 T4 B- voperation.# {; R/ [) ]- A  r5 t' `

  F: K9 ]4 B& p0 r1 L3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  8 f9 w! g" n$ H
accordance with Students' Union policy.- S  O! q# D; J2 X7 W5 h
' M4 v0 R/ I$ X
4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
. H1 W- W9 X: h8 f8 ^6 y0 F# \3 N1 d2 h7 u9 v
5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
% g* i6 c! j- S' p5 i4 u! IUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic
