22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

  O7 u9 V: [1 I8 `% X! MJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the

, A& O. J) `1 Z" X9 u; V5 m& Y8 H# o" A3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
" d4 F" p- X8 c; Y0 Y3 X6 Y  {each shift, and upon closing.

, k& k+ b0 g' i# s4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
/ |; T# j6 n' f6 j9 [9 Fattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
, h" |$ w  w' P5 a; ~( W$ Rseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

7 }3 A" j& r5 N3 E& t3 g6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
, c0 C) [! u3 `' pmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
8 x& _, U+ o, i) ]high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
' D( m9 ?5 G) ?9 X; L) lhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
7 q7 A+ b6 [  L6 `% ]: nAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
) x  `/ ?: K3 I7 T. G1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
/ P) A5 i/ j2 r( W/ O
' [7 u* D$ Y9 u; z; a& l2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
/ w$ m: K" M& L; f7 ?operation.

1 J. |+ D% A& q5 s3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
- C# w* _. X$ ]% Y1 p2 eaccordance with Students' Union policy.

* \4 W" H0 b2 n  d$ V6 w! [4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´

attitude.
