BARTENDER - Room At The Top (RATT) - includes some serving  d5 y2 X) C5 T- e

, C8 e# `* s4 T2 v22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
0 U, D1 U& H( {# H/ |# WOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  4 \/ n) o$ ]# d6 @2 v& \
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
' l5 w7 f0 ~' s3 \$ x% Q7 \cleanliness and order in the bar.$ Q% Z1 R6 b( Y" x+ p

5 T* }. p, u+ z: F2 fDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:) m) V( J7 k; b8 T/ t  k
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  + z, `6 j- G# }7 K
beverage items.
. Y* k9 n7 n$ f
8 E2 g5 c3 v9 p+ d" F, K1 x3 F2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  / g! Y' j: [. E2 e/ Y! Q$ x, R
bar and debit floats.. R9 X# U/ x+ c. M
7 j: b- [# q% j4 N( o* }& Y
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
9 H7 e6 _( i5 O5 g3 heach shift, and upon closing.* O5 X: M, w3 u5 h

4 E. g% r# }2 C' y3 t% b4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
2 l2 T# F* l3 {2 e, f9 @attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
5 Q5 S  ]# P# v* Vseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.. o& o( ?* k" C7 I4 G9 @/ Z4 z# P

$ Z5 {0 C# Y$ {: R5 o' u5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
" F  d9 e) j- E* a$ ]: r" ^storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  ' Y9 n) Q& J: }7 ]% H
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.
' e, \7 t# }$ M7 E! o& X: Z9 b; a/ y$ W  g& K- s
6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  $ ]5 t8 B+ J+ S* E* s
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
5 N1 ?2 g1 B$ F( f% Q0 ]high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in    ^' X; q" N% }. ]+ G. j
accordance with Students' Union policies.

. A, F$ ~$ c  ~. c$ X7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
9 d2 h7 ]7 F" }5 |* C8 }; f; zhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  1 l! H* f# i6 n2 B

QUALIFICATIONS:9 x, |. X* q1 o5 f' v' G8 q3 l$ |6 p
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.; i0 Y, A, w% [" W) h
# `; Q1 o' s  |7 N3 O, S
2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  ! o& N1 o) ~5 r9 _1 n+ L
operation.
, ]1 x& a0 b+ y( z8 _, ]' V9 x0 t1 [! a" E3 C% p: j3 q0 T& O
3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  1 l4 y2 n' r% ?  `7 t- J
accordance with Students' Union policy.

' g$ r, E. S( n/ R! b4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

4 x1 K6 H& c- z5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  + P" j& j1 a8 B+ G
