( m$ N4 S/ p$ Z. D! {' C11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

& f; P0 Q, K6 y7 ]5 D7 v. mJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
8 A- s; U- B" s4 |3 hcustomer service and room cleanliness.


3 D* \# w& V6 Y* C- n" PDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
) v% d$ L" s) J" ~( `6 p' J6 J1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
$ M* h$ `" t9 G  g9 a8 g/ lorders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
. n$ l: @9 ^  V& d& H4 Z
3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
5 ~- f& G6 Q2 {5 y$ @$ u; H$ ftotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

- o6 G; [: |9 x) `9 a0 |4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
& o6 ~' C, C/ {; a# T: C% Iand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
5 u" f8 F% E4 ~; \action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
" |. M! Q# I4 Q7 q, ?intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.
) n  T) l) Q; F! ]9 a, N
7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

; G+ D+ I% W5 lQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

& Z$ J5 ]; h  Z/ K; l. i- f2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.
: P' L2 {( S0 i" Z5 J, H  Y
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
1 z/ T, k* L' G6 x# x5 D( Vpolicy.
% ]7 L4 X* T1 f8 C; C- z+ g
0 i8 F# b- p; D: I8 K1 v8 F  S2 j4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
3 V2 V- w- k8 x& R& tprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
