5 V  L! e3 Z( ?& [' t/ O8 k' F11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

. V4 M! I  K/ t( [1 EJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
; [$ x6 O. q3 ~, lcustomer service and room cleanliness.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
( T/ G, c2 C/ u, U$ o  o1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
/ L/ k9 c7 _5 t4 g4 T" b1 `& u. ^2 Borders.

: f$ c. ^2 v2 J+ c+ M4 d+ F* `2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
: q8 g5 c6 h& G, X, z5 [high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
. F* i: [- x/ ?6 m! F
0 w: a+ }  z' `7 E9 G0 `7 X3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
: T7 M& A. O& D" Y1 M$ c' }
4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
3 X. h& m/ [& z% U# Aincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

6 |3 ?; M9 |$ K. f. w, H$ ^5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
) r0 j, b2 C. g6 H- t. S6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
6 W6 h4 ~$ K/ k2 WAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

: G& w) \+ L7 I% e! Z/ N4 M7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
# Y7 _; I; _8 oManager.

# ~3 F( T9 a" {8 l4 f; O7 N5 \QUALIFICATIONS;
  u* i4 t4 d5 C! z3 I! P3 @1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
; }8 T" A6 ?4 B2 F0 Q0 @
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
5 `( K* w3 K) koperation.
) ~: Z( u+ B1 {2 [+ I
: k; |3 n0 y  Y( b: o& X3 g" @( y+ t3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
+ a* P5 W5 [* L8 \6 b$ r% ~
" Y! n4 X. I% }3 g9 i4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

) b2 Z" R  N3 ]2 `4 T5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Union Position

+ G5 Z0 y/ z+ h4 B$ LWage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
