JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
6 |" m5 j- t1 j" ^9 _5 K. uBartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
3 P+ f( F4 ?' ]carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
3 C( G, D( C# s; _( vcustomer service and room cleanliness.

% ~* e! x& r( w4 C- _, V/ y* t
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
- t  G5 S3 J$ o: C) n! c3 {1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

2 ?: e, `- }6 ]! u6 J2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
+ \+ K  g% c% k7 f0 U  O/ Paccordance with Students' Union policies.
- g1 L+ f- s( n( c8 d! l# K5 _
3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
; Y) A+ u8 P3 R& i" K) Fand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
' L6 P+ H8 Y, R5 `8 o) W; NAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.


$ u4 X6 v% y. C- U' ~* G* PQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

; {2 }5 M0 Z% s5 T0 v2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
  O+ [7 [$ ^4 `( y- P8 `% goperation.
  `8 H& F4 P* p1 q1 J& P$ a9 Q5 V
+ u4 G( B. P% [7 g3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
$ l5 [& `5 y# Q* e
4 f7 p, x, G1 q* o% t3 `5 v4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
4 m& z+ k0 w: L# vcard transactions.

$ |( j- d! I+ R5 O6 p5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Union Position

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
