; O* J6 n2 A, f4 b, Jweekend hours./ k6 x2 ]1 x ]4 P" X
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer* E1 E9 j( I' @+ _, R1 M$ \
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the9 P2 ?4 ^ }5 q1 z# n
centre.
7 Z1 ]1 }, X# C! j7 ?& GThese responsibilities include:
9 ~+ k+ h" G5 {) j, z$ B7 w, I& o-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.* e$ S1 w z. \* P9 @
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.$ L7 r8 G! v8 K6 `7 m% v9 C: B
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and" h1 q1 E) q7 j6 e/ V
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to " I% s5 ~( d0 O* X1 _2 H5 L% Q
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
3 U) t* Z5 }+ e( ]) P6 n-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic

' ]) J" U( h! o$ G# q-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
$ O' F! A6 I; A1 e: W5 l7 Feducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
4 B9 {& M' j- m0 nof education, training and /or experience. ; e% a4 N; X: \
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
* E; N$ W) a7 G) \0 z-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
1 e- t8 c# c' T5 Z3 E$ s9 Z-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
& A5 D! c* n% S8 e( wand Excel. 4 K. h- C8 v6 A' \! P. `
-Experience using and updating an information database.

Assets:

-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.
