Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and6 f3 x, h9 b* h9 z/ Q% J
weekend hours.: ]% z1 Y- ~0 Z; @- n
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer3 I- r6 j( z* Z
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
) B0 O+ B- `% r. i0 d* F+ Z, A# x9 icentre.
4 v) t$ U7 s1 ^6 dThese responsibilities include:! v! k3 c" A' k- ~; h0 t/ j
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
$ F7 r, b9 U: _! S3 d+ S-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
/ f; f$ S$ n* s9 C5 _$ h- O8 k$ [-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and" x+ M3 f; F6 [$ h9 [
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to / G5 H) ^; E; O* E
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
5 k2 s* W( S* k$ C1 I-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic " L8 u& B/ ]0 H

Statement of Qualifications

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, 8 v. v% m) v* _
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination / Y2 f- B' @* Y/ G- ]! N; ^
of education, training and /or experience. 7 f7 U3 ^' ^5 A; n) k
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
, v! _7 a/ _( {' D9 w-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system., V! M9 }% g" G. P7 ]- c. _/ d. w
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
" Q4 _. f$ H8 b+ iand Excel.
# l# A& ^. m y! `8 E$ t-Experience using and updating an information database.

Assets:
