Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
- m6 T6 C' c$ Z- k8 ^weekend hours.: V: d( I& D o# S
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer4 }/ `5 a. ]- E: a
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
' h3 L8 D3 B s& Mcentre.2 U v0 B6 g! {' R
These responsibilities include:- u* u' v( \ t/ r; ?& b, q
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
4 t8 R: s0 A2 v$ M-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
! f0 R' G+ S; G) V" |! T-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and5 O0 z% _9 N) E$ |0 J
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
" G0 Y& [# g3 nfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
! j# r1 s0 S) H4 p5 o3 X- b( z8 l* Q-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
$ R, Z( A) q" C3 b0 W9 u* @6 Pclients’ files etc.

! n" n0 I2 G7 [) Q; @/ D-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
. @8 B2 c8 h8 N/ V& Zeducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination + v: T- {* r; }; z
of education, training and /or experience. . Z3 \% b1 q" t8 B7 C
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
4 L( W6 O' z9 w( n, {. Q6 a7 x, P-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.1 B8 ^ R/ q6 @3 \+ }
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word' ] K2 T; n8 B

-Experience using and updating an information database. + m2 k$ t. Z& }& @+ V

Assets:

Abilities:
