3 m% k5 D1 E) BYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer G$ U# @2 `! q( {5 W+ t
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the' B. C6 Q, G( \; {+ i
centre.
' S6 ~( ?0 G; \6 ]+ z& c8 I6 WThese responsibilities include:5 a: B5 G. G2 g6 o( \
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
( s* _$ o& [. m/ |5 g& z% e-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.2 Q; S, X' Y6 y1 D2 B! }
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
0 W$ N$ M0 L$ _9 Lrenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to + @4 ?' S& {, a) h
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
& _9 n9 t% r. h-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic ! q' R) [% L9 G
clients’ files etc.

+ ^# k1 f( p! i5 S5 H-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, - {+ \ _7 f( v' Z
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination ; b7 A. m0 N) ?# p O
of education, training and /or experience. 6 l' `; I, w9 {3 Z9 P5 v1 W
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
& v) U# t! o" l3 R W( m* z-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.+ w& _% W' Q6 ^) d0 o3 `! D
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
, j9 k+ O& Z0 B/ B% y Vand Excel. 2 E/ r# U) u* l- z9 F4 K% k, ~& i
-Experience using and updating an information database. . d/ B7 @, b6 y+ b

-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.
