Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

- W* v# b( Z% P" `3 J; T& X· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

! E6 P2 p0 Q( t" s* \3 a· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

2 d# g1 B9 p. m· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

- y/ p. H! v1 |' ?· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
/ O3 x; J. N1 S2 N" C
% ^1 w3 k$ v8 j: G8 L' x" e+ Q  o· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

3 N0 v8 [7 z7 A: E) \· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
' ~4 R+ _* S) A0 @, `
· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license
, c. }! z1 [: e+ H
" z& x. {; M$ C) I/ M) B- {+ `/ t· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

7 l) v! B. h0 k* F) t· Excellent organizational and time management skills

7 I6 b+ c) }9 h& a· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

6 b" c$ f1 W7 `2 m" q· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
