CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

5 n4 T' E4 P% `" iKey Job Duties

% n7 T$ G7 e. K& K· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

& P) S' n$ x. Q· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
, T' t& X9 t4 ?
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

$ L$ ]+ v+ n( [- T. U4 T· Operate manual and automatic shifts
& G& w$ w/ `* G) z* ~
/ i, i* J6 [% q! B3 T, U3 p· Secure loads safely

% b3 s1 R2 x  Z8 H( t- W2 d; P) g· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
! Q% [- [5 P% J7 h, k- YQualifications and Training Requirements

5 G1 u" v/ b( }9 N. n! g· Minimum 3 years experience
' f( t. y4 t) N9 z4 g
" N8 O/ L3 e4 _· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
8 c# O, V1 G* u: d5 o  z$ y3 ]
% }! v% v" T4 {/ S9 Y· Load securement certification

0 D, t' M! Z; f% K· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

3 a3 e1 F- ^! T6 {· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.
