CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
, D; W! ]* r  k& A% k: z* q
1 J6 }- y  U! {  k5 ^+ }! B7 L· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

2 p" _3 b# `! _3 b$ A$ P· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

; P  a- d; r" c# |) J- C· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

) s* v; u! t% ?* @  X* N· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

' ~" p4 q* f. w, y6 j/ PQualifications and Training Requirements
+ I' N! K4 p( ?/ E% r
* P; S& X( E4 M8 p# Q( {· Minimum 3 years experience
5 e( t- [4 a$ t, T
4 k6 V3 w6 k3 L. h7 v9 W' K· Valid Class 1 license

- ^7 S" x  `# u; u4 j1 X· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification
+ a9 u1 L' @% B8 L7 P0 g/ h
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

2 }. S# r- r0 P9 \( W5 Y· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
