EDMONTON -- Alberta's chief medical officer of health revealed who is eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in the next phase of vaccinations as Phase 2A began on Monday.( a" Q+ y. V$ E. y" X- R9 q
& T" z% N) S/ ^4 L& NWith Phase 2B slated to begin in April, Dr. Deena Hinshaw said Albertans with high-risk underlying health conditions would be able to get the COVID-19 shot.

Chronic heart, kidney, liver, neurological and respiratory diseases;

Immunosuppression;4 i B5 n/ `! F1 H' d
Pregnancy;, e( t/ c- n) M2 W1 G$ [
Severe mental illness or substance abuse disorder that required hospitalization in the past year;

3 m* E. ^( I( i: Y* I" y1 H" l Severe learning disabilities or severe developmental delay; and
" ~& e8 K( V" X: \ Solid organ, bone marrow or stem cell transplant recipients.
