亚省医生投票赞成提高费用的草案

) |6 h( d& ]$ n/ E4 r( u1 _& ?EDMONTON (CP) - A tentative deal that would see Alberta doctors receive their first fee increase in almost a year-and-a-half should help retain physicians in the booming province, but it won't necessarily improve patient care, says the president of the Alberta Medical Association.

2 Z0 M+ a" L% s0 |4 n"It will keep physicians hopefully in this province. It will hopefully attract more physicians to this province and therefore has the potential to improve care," Dr. Gerry Kiefer said at a news conference Saturday. 4 w$ c; b0 l& I( e. \

"But to say that any fiscal agreement is going to improve that care would be making a huge assumption."
