Calgary police have now laid charges against an 18-year-old Calgary woman following the death of a little girl at a crosswalk in the city's northwest.
Police Sgt. Doug McIlwraith said Tuesday that Angela Ta has been charged with passing a motor vehicle stopped for a pedestrian at a crosswalk, failing to yield at a crosswalk, and careless driving.
* E: Z* l3 ?/ |' e! i6 Y9 \. uMcIlwraith says the charges could mean a licence suspension, a $2,000 fine or six months in jail.
. d7 d' S% q& f! V+ i3 ?# w. I) USix-year-old Jenna Chang and her mother, Ye Qiao, were struck Jan. 18 by a black BMW while using a marked crosswalk at 32 Avenue and 37 Street N.W.
