Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me: - |/ l/ F* }& N! |0 H6 s
"I am going to send it back". / [9 O7 q! b0 l X% {: X
I did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:

He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage."
* c9 J- c4 r# @8 o- |$ ]; v$ a"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?" % P6 A* U% F. d4 H* n S" b
"Yes, I did."
; X) @, d* m X; c/ P FFinally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post. 9 E4 v2 B1 O3 f$ a0 S3 J; S
He took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet. 0 w0 |8 b1 G8 b- v
"Are you going to take some money from the wallet to pay the postage?"5 t6 h1 ^! G5 w6 y- |& T5 ~) ^
"No, I am not. I do not do those things."$ k( r% @2 b% t$ X2 Q) u
He took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside.
$ x- q8 E3 `9 D+ eI gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:7 ~5 U6 ]) [9 ~! y: p
"Is it okay that I do not write this part?"
5 y. G. D1 \( t' q3 [; t, p"Yes, you may." I thought he must want to be a nameless hero. But he said:7 S* N7 v* |) A. O
"I do not have an address."

& R. O, N5 g7 I& |6 jHe did not look up, and said: "I do not have a home.": z# ?+ k# n9 r; |1 H" j ?; A
My heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it.
" P2 i0 J# U. C3 J0 THe did not a posses a home, but he had a big heart. He had the precious fortune of being a man of integrity.
