Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me: # P: T2 e: m+ t" d2 {# M
"I am going to send it back".
# l" c$ M1 r A8 _0 L# _/ QI did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:

He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage." 2 u- y' A2 i/ p( S0 Q' }
"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?" " Q' |2 C2 D1 D/ e. ^5 V% j. v
"Yes, I did."* j) D! F5 D) [" y# Y6 t
Finally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post.
7 q7 M# K) a% OHe took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet. 1 j' }+ C1 ?5 D$ X4 y5 s; }0 |
"Are you going to take some money from the wallet to pay the postage?" `. c" \- i+ _1 k k0 a2 Y, H' w$ \
"No, I am not. I do not do those things."
+ j1 o& v* P VHe took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside. ) ^4 a4 C, D; M
I gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:

"I do not have an address."
