Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
/ U& W' D1 K. E) s" OModify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
  v: J# H4 H! G0 G1 WSupervise kitchen staff’s activities
1 k8 ]+ ~3 w" f4 \  v+ cArrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Recruit and manage kitchen staff
Rectify arising problems or complaints
$ h1 f1 F: o5 U/ S) i' r9 wGive prepared plates the “final touch”
Perform administrative duties
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Keep time and payroll records
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Excellent record of kitchen management

Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
