No one was injured after a brush fire tore through a section of Edmonton's river valley on Friday night.
4 o* M/ g$ ?5 n( c8 R0 g FThe fire started around 11 p.m. near the Wolf Willow and Rio Terrace neighbourhoods in the west end of the city.
T' u/ `- y$ GEdmonton Fire Rescue spokeswoman Sarah Meffen said 17 fire trucks were called to fight the fire. It was declared under control at 1:20 a.m., and was officially out at 3:20 a.m.
) K9 d! z7 j+ q4 ~# bThe fire covered a large area of the ravine, Meffen said, but none of the nearby homes were evacuated.
