No one was injured after a brush fire tore through a section of Edmonton's river valley on Friday night.
+ o3 k8 O( {/ U2 jThe fire started around 11 p.m. near the Wolf Willow and Rio Terrace neighbourhoods in the west end of the city.
7 T* G7 x/ h. L8 b; hEdmonton Fire Rescue spokeswoman Sarah Meffen said 17 fire trucks were called to fight the fire. It was declared under control at 1:20 a.m., and was officially out at 3:20 a.m., V6 j `* @, M7 o$ x
The fire covered a large area of the ravine, Meffen said, but none of the nearby homes were evacuated.
