% A, \2 ~- O7 s k We live in Magrath Heights and we are currently struggling with our 5-year-old daughter's to Kindergarten registration. I wonder if there are parents in Magrath, MacTaggart area who are struggling with this issue as well. I wish to explore possibilities to group up and help each other out on making our lives easier with the half-day kindergarten program./ u9 O- z2 H4 M0 U w

To kick it off, here are my two cents. 6 R9 s1 m0 B9 W9 n# V
/ V- w4 L7 S! {& ]% L3 c We need to make up our mind as to which school to register to since one kid can only send in ONE registration at a time, and it can be really hard to switch school in the middle of the year. Currently there are two options for my daughter:9 S# Z& \/ Q$ E; h l# W

Option 1: Regular program - a new school - Nellie Carlson(http://www.epsb.ca/schools/newsc ... ions/nelliecarlson/) is under construction and scheduled to open September 2016; boundaries not finalized yet.
( h3 z! A/ d+ Y2 [5 h' ? X) L- J& } No on site child care available. ' A- w* d; P0 A3 V. ?8 ?9 N
! D! A, w4 r8 k/ J3 N ^
IF we fall under the final boundary, what to do with the afternoons? My husband and I both work full-time 30 minutes drive from home. I maybe able to take one afternoon off in a week, part-time is not likely an option.

/ O+ c: I$ d* G" I( g, U9 QOption 2: Mandarin Bilingual program - Parkallen School where there is a YMCA KinderCare close by, $755 a month, AND there is a wait list.
- N$ w1 B9 P a9 A2 A& D Honestly, I wish to send my daughter to the Mandarin Bilingual school, but again, there is the afternoon issue, YMCA is not guaranteed and expensive. I wonder if there are other parents considering this school and we could come up with a program to support each other and incorporate with Chinese elements. % C3 T) G( ~- r, f" X) y; A" ^
