反对C24的都是有双重国籍的人,如台港,印度,欧美来的加拿大人。 对大陆来的只有一个国籍的人如果也反对的话, 那么只能说他喜欢自虐。

Conservative candidate Tim Uppal said his party has an excellent record on welcoming newcomers.

; ]0 e3 _: ?: L# E7 k( t1 C- _* V H( V' t“Under this government, we have had the highest levels of sustained immigration in Canadian history,” he said., c$ Z/ T8 s. U" J0 W

Uppal also defends bill C-24, legislation that allows the government to strip citizenship from dual citizens convicted of terrorism or treason. He said when someone has been convicted and served their time of a charge as serious as terrorism it’s common sense to deport them.
$ K7 L7 O- I d2 |1 H“If we can have their citizenship stripped, because they’re a dual citizen, than I would rather not have them in this country,” he said.

Liberal candidate Amarjeet Sohi said the Conservative bill is discriminatory, treating Canadians with dual citizenship as unequal.
) I5 ^" }: ?. v% p“It will not make us safe,” he said. “Every Canadian should be treated the same, you can’t have different punishments for the same crime.”
, \/ L+ ]; k. A& YSohi said he would prefer convicted terrorist stay within the reach of Canadian law.

“People are really, really under fear and they want to see these changes,” he said.
