1 A$ G% U: _, n; ~His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. & Z% @* X T5 J7 p W
After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home,
5 @. t1 O; R9 q6 s9 t) khe smiled sweetly when told his room was ready.

( }2 i# h: E$ Y; y$ eAs he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual ! j- M9 D' t( p1 O: F3 ~
description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been

"Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait."

room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged ... it's how

It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up.

I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I
+ p4 B- f# _$ B. a6 U/ ohave with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed
* h* }1 o' I5 |$ D _3 J5 dand be thankful for the ones that do.

Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I'll focus on the new

Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in. % @1 L# J( I! I) ]' n

So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank
