Few minutes work if just the safety expansion valve leaks ( most probably only the valve)1 J% A9 Q7 v* @0 ?. ~0 y

Shut down the hot water tank by closing the temperature switch to off; & q' F' w/ o1 K. GOpen the drain valve at the bottom to drain all the water out;, f4 f$ v0 R5 n/ o5 p H
Then remove the expansion valve, go to home or Canadian tire. they all have one.; @4 c8 K* J6 ]' m5 P5 R7 }6 f

The humidifier is even simpler. The drain hose is supposed to have water go thorough the humidifier filter inside the housing and then goes to drain when furnace is on. # J- U0 h0 g" j4 K1 T* f6 }- k0 H5 N! p5 m
If there is no crack at the housing connector, just re-do the connection when the furnace is off. ; F! E1 F: t/ h S( @' Z7 u3 D. o8 c, q4 G4 i6 m
