! j- G" m7 u% |Immigrant women and their families can now access a “household toolkit” crafted by a local service group for new immigrant families, through real estate agents. 4 l3 d/ J" e6 V4 a% J- E

In the tool kit are 75 common hand tools – like a hammer and screwdriver – as well a book on how to buy a home, a home maintenance schedule and other items. ( a! f6 w8 `/ s& m( R4 T

“The tools are a symbol of hope for people trying to build new lives in Edmonton,” said Madeline Sarafinchan, president of the Edmonton Real Estate Board. 7 a7 |! Q F& U9 D% m) u

The program was announced by a group called Changing Together… A Centre for Immigrant Women.
