Job Description:

JOB FUNCTIONS:

! v" H7 d: \6 L) K• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

- n- B8 ~2 w9 q+ h" o8 M$ W• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

5 H5 Z4 C- U6 q0 z• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

, S5 z4 z) m- s! S2 h& P• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

, W4 \' C* [+ s/ I7 m• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

• Document activities for future assessment analysis.

• Maintain current documentation of site status, complete trouble tickets, incident report and other required reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

# X! A) v0 i: ]7 F5 |- b- Z/ W• 5 years of telecommunications experience.
* B2 c& V7 t! U; S3 p  }
• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

" e5 S2 e+ }1 C- |0 \: p* h• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

• Demonstrated investigative, problem solving, analysis and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.

• Standby, overtime and shift work is required.

The Manager is looking for a contractor with the following skills:

6 x  ?; j8 }) K$ x-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
