recall是什么意思？

我觉得recall就是汽车生产厂家把汽车召回重新处理和维修，但是具体怎样操作不是很清楚。
( ]9 @* [# L/ n' g) X2 N0 v3 P3 T比如，2000年的Ford Focus有9个recalls，那么是不是市面上的2000年的Ford Focus车都经过了重新处理和维修啊，这9个安全隐患都消除了啊？
