Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales

- r" @6 w# \6 QKey Responsibilities:

3 b# q, ?1 {( V" p. i' Q( D* E6 t• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 

- w! {5 T8 b% P- O% J d• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.' t# Q3 p/ m4 w% e" c! j

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.( y9 S6 o6 X+ Q! @

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours.

• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

1 T" z) U) B, P+ Z) x. D• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.

• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 
# e5 a. c& y& A" P9 K
• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.

• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

; `4 H+ R5 @6 u. e! Z• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

$ A( x8 \% w* v% y3 |1 Y p• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

• Travel within the assigned region.
