DReporting to the Team Lead for Drilling and completions, the Senior Drilling Engineer will perform all aspects of well design including; Casing and Tubing Design, Mud Systems, Fluid Hydraulics, Primary and Remedial Cementing, Specialized Technical Software for tubular design and effect improvements in drilling efficacy.

For each well, confirm casing/tubing stress analysis, mud/hydraulics programs, cementing program, collision avoidance criteria- T4 H6 Y' o# ?6 r( O/ T
Prepare Drilling Program, Basis of Design, ADW and other special operations programs as required in the course of the operation F: P5 ^: H/ A1 Y' ~" b
Steward to the recently implemented Well Delivery Model for Suncor including multi discipline peer reviews and post well reviews8 H/ h# k" y) C8 p' ^
Prepare End of Well Report which details cost analysis, operation analysis and provides recommendations for continuous improvement b, |2 ?' e+ h# m
Prepare technical specifications to be used in tenders for materials, services and equipment used in the drilling operations 6 T% b+ M H( M) {4 G2 f1 N
Stays abreast of current technology and Best Practices within and industry and recommend the application of new technology 6 H! I, B. O: L: q, _8 C3 I- [9 N: T
Prepare management of change for drilling programs as needed/ Y7 S4 w" u5 |$ O- w% q& G2 ^+ j
Communicate regularly with the cross discipline members of the NAO Team on progression, lessons learned cost and efficiency improvements as well as investigation on operational setbacks$ {4 \; r+ T. K6 y& g. N4 ^. ~
Mentor junior staff

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word & Excel as well as casing design software such as Stresscheck or equivalent
