Completed a 2 year diploma in law enforcement from a provincially recognized institution . y3 C7 ~# f+ P) O- V5 T
A minimum of 2 years related public contact experience including 6 months of bylaw or legislation enforcement experience
+ o+ o" Y4 y$ o& P0 U6 mConsiderable knowledge of and ability to apply Animal Control legislation, bylaw enforcement practices and investigation techniques " O6 p3 V+ |- q+ C& @: @' f" z
Ability to control a wide variety of domestic and potentially dangerous animals utilizing appropriate equipment * ~' R( t+ S8 I
The ability to enforce bylaws impartially and tactfully, often in difficult and/or confrontational situations " _5 ]& l) c/ q& b* d
Excellent conflict management decision making skills
