Fish确实是可数名词,又是不可数名词。更特殊的是它的复数形式并非我们认为的那样。# E+ G. o! W% f3 d4 W9 a
Fish作为食物原料来讲的时候,是不可数名词。我们i说I ate an apple 但是不说 I ate a fish(不知道在猫的语言里是不是这样讲),. p; Z3 d- h/ g$ x7 N
说I like seafood and I can eat a whole fish for dinner.还差不多, 通常就说 fish。这时候就是不可数的。8 @6 H3 J/ E9 O+ W8 ?3 h/ q
我们去钓鱼的时候,fish就是可数的了,但是记住,你钓了几条?one fish, two fish,都是fish,而不是 two fishes。1 o+ j. H4 C0 A; @+ g
难道fish的复数就是fish本身吗。也是也不是。同一种Fish的复数就是fish,fishes是用在不同种类的fish时候 % o) h, L6 Y" p3 s; @8 O$ G

We use fishes when talking about different types of fish. For example, I caught five fish today and they were different fishes. & |5 @# |# Q3 F+ O M

Fish is uncountable when we talk about the meat of fish. For instance, I want to have fish for supper.
