• Develop, prepare, execute and achieve financial goals;
m. h2 U3 Z: O' b$ \• Provide timely and accurate financial statements;
3 c+ ]3 O: j% _- s• Maintain the system of internal checks designed to prevent or promptly detect unauthorized transactions;; \. L' B, E# @1 O/ i
• To analyze Hotel’s performance versus budget and investigate variances as required;
+ l9 b/ s4 Q" r( c• To monitor operational expenditures in conjunction with approved budgets;
# ]1 K1 `. x% h/ G8 V5 F• To reconcile all supplier accounts, to post all payables, and to pay vendors in accordance with due dates and cash flow projections;
' K, B8 } g4 I+ J" Z• To monitor city ledger and guest ledger transactions, and to collect all receivables on a timely basis;0 n: C) ]3 U" [' K3 {0 E
• To set up, track, record, and process all payrolls; to handle related HR and benefit matters as required5 M- O0 ^( m- B+ ~8 v* V7 v+ s
• Maintain all company policies and procedures;
- @8 N/ x0 B% }' J• Ensure Internal audit recommendations are implemented on a timely basis;
' P7 T# R0 r' s* n7 V* f• To ensure all Hotel’s contracts have proper authorization, negotiations for renewal and are properly filed and are easily available for corporate review;! e; M4 ]) J1 I5 {" _
• To ensure that there is an effective system of purchasing, receiving, and control of supplies in place at all times with proper requisition procedures;/ u+ q. I4 u0 [8 l L0 Y
• To ensure that usual and exceptional purchases are approved consistent with the budgeting and forecasting system;, P% v+ G1 p( m
• To ensure all accounting procedures comply with corporate accounting systems;
, Y9 b! u( r3 `- [9 p: `2 k• To provide month-end packages to the Corporate Office and assist in the preparation of financial statements;7 I4 @9 y8 K" z! p0 \3 u
• Supervise and assist the Accounting support Team (Night Audit) % H7 u0 k* _! G1 k3 f5 w7 M
• Issue and monitor cash floats;

• Strong accounting knowledge to handle a complete accounting cycle in a centralized environment.
; H. I. q- }5 U• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and owners in a professional manner;
- v2 s1 N& |" z• Supervisory experience within the hotel industry;
5 X$ Z3 D3 d1 O. C• Knowledge of development and execution of business plans and budgets; }) e7 i! d- _$ @% x
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and administration skills;
) w' A: u. r' X9 |/ {. g• Proficient / familiarity with computerized systems such as : hotel PMS, Oracle and ADP payroll systems.
+ S ?4 C8 U. _7 s: _4 N• Knowledge of Alberta Labor Standards an assets.
