Job Description
-promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
# a+ n+ R8 Y4 @$ r2 W7 B-promote Centre and ISP programs in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
; F4 I; F( t- T7 R-develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
-recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
0 T/ ^8 i/ U' F0 W% @* m6 }-promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
5 D. f; H' M  C  w8 D9 C-outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
" X. D6 W% w! g+ z4 n" a* L-attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
-adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
% A6 K+ B4 {; D8 f* D  I1 p-report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
-assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
-other duties as assigned

* Y2 @. s% t# |* l7 U& q+ _-degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
-knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
: U0 @6 ?" _( A# M, W* u9 g2 G-good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
9 @3 \8 W* ], `& m7 X* L-fluent in English and Chinese
4 y4 ]5 W* x# T" T( U# X* @-good interpersonal and people skills
