Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
: \: S* ?6 C8 Q/ V2 ]6 b, W( j• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
( P$ X, E3 U/ o b1 L, R. G• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
( I7 ?7 o$ U* ~ w• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
0 y7 Y' | i& ]* X6 a, u• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter( Y1 I! m' Z% R9 K& i) C" R
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
- u0 V; ]9 L7 x: e7 f2 s• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
+ K. `! G1 l; @- f' n# o• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
& ~5 t) C' @! ?/ b2 K1 k( k! H" i• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events' l* c, r, y4 o8 b7 @
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean. F* S+ Y/ B( H2 i1 q7 L
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
& |+ i3 a# g( u% V* i( q• Maintain front counter service files( m- p% g1 }- V5 v# `
• Perform general office duties as assigned) a2 W1 Y1 v: G( A

( T: C7 K# y" c# iKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
2 w% F- F( K3 Q7 a8 |& i7 @: R( {! e• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person, ^! B L4 T' f* r7 h+ z* g
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset. B& G" H8 U4 l
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
/ [( K$ E6 D3 G: z6 ~/ X0 S/ C• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
" a5 x: B& U2 }$ H1 N1 B• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 7 L0 b9 W1 g* m" I7 W
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
- S% q9 }# b2 `8 F: k• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
' g: R6 z7 b2 [( I4 Y" s8 \• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
