Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 9 F: _. Key Responsibilities:
& N# p& H. i, P0 M• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
" e9 X/ m! h& Q2 Q1 ~7 D, @) d r( P• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST2 c; Q! s! O2 M# A7 ~: Q$ P: Q
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
- d! \+ r9 n* T4 N+ j2 _• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
3 U9 H( l& B2 v, \' U' Y' L• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
& _, O+ M( q5 {+ y: a& G0 f6 e( H• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
6 U- |3 S) O3 e. w• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
* b3 m5 y' J- b• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

! m& D8 X7 g$ _4 p7 ~1 d• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters' m, P* N* V& u w- b) S
• Maintain front counter service files, U9 G, k% e, g, C1 J
• Perform general office duties as assigned& n& D6 }6 E& |2 s3 Z2 h( N

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
) X1 l2 I) n3 Z. a, }! d! }, K# N• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
9 P$ }' Q" U: I( j• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
8 h0 w7 m' G/ r P• Good English writing and oral communication skills. e$ e6 i* A% L. b! H* ]
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients2 I5 W" }/ k* d" h2 j4 z
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook. c2 i1 W9 I- I0 ^1 k
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
! _: C" R( R6 ^" B$ P- a• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
% d: Y% a% X: T# ?/ O$ N• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
# ]2 H- `! N/ p! y) q• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment. _2 u5 k& D: e' {: U
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
9 L+ f g' s# f2 N& k5 N• Ability to work well under minimal supervision4 ?! T$ r" N9 ]; d' K$ b
