Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

$ q# e9 [' Q/ ]7 WPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person! x$ b8 r- z& A5 T) D
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
8 j) y# k: A3 ?% }6 k* Q* }* ~3 Y' ~• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
0 N1 ?' C. g* x' z& N2 b/ K• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter. o7 N% {8 t X
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents0 [; Y q( e# G7 D
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
+ k) Y0 ^% w! H• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events2 ]1 E5 c: x5 |
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
5 D9 t @8 T* j4 n' |• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
3 a4 J7 a, A# ~/ |: T• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
4 b9 f% l0 ~* P3 C3 i2 X• Good English writing and oral communication skills# \6 D+ d+ `6 I- ^6 y. x. A1 W- C
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients' j' l2 M5 N5 o
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds; G7 o8 O$ o; H# f& j5 z

Qualifications:
: J/ y+ d6 H" b3 l* t• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience & _6 Y3 O' m* w z4 {% l# x
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment0 K5 g {! o- {
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism; Y2 [ D' ] K+ t
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
