Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. # p3 [, K9 F) ~# I8 `1 Q

: C, B5 K! c1 D$ ]• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person: `/ U8 `. S) U
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST8 D! e6 X) y+ v: K$ y0 f! t
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately/ [: S/ i5 W' U0 H" Y7 K7 S
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter9 F; V; u1 Y6 ]) ~; A
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
! H1 U+ c: k, D, g* G3 O3 l• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
1 n$ j. s4 i+ u+ H• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
$ ^* ~0 b* m) Q/ _+ J1 [• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events$ n" X- h8 J: ^3 q* G
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean0 |. n: N+ V2 N2 g
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters' |( V' N4 v* K& W& _* z& j' r
• Maintain front counter service files

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
7 J/ H3 @3 P% F$ b& q6 Q' \• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset- H6 w/ [9 S" y/ O9 U c) k k
• Good English writing and oral communication skills/ p6 a4 p* C$ J. g! E' w% m: B9 S
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
) N) s3 z- E" |* m* \• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:) ~0 W) o5 n( }; G6 M% G9 Z
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience * Z/ w" B" w# O. k
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment( N6 d+ S! Q$ H& |, J# ~9 ^0 p8 \
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
& D" P2 h. [$ ~: S4 U• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
