8 i! O/ i! L& m0 m- x3 J•        Supervise and co-ordinate sales staff and cashiers
•        Assign sales workers to duties and prepare work schedules
. T4 {5 S) N* T2 Y9 r•        Authorize payments by cheque and the return of merchandise
( q# y2 |' X& ~( V, h  H) [•        Sell merchandise to customers
•        Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
: Q% M6 b9 h5 R9 y$ T9 X% I* x•        Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise
9 D7 B8 `9 `# c•        Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
•        Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff
