D3 Z' }8 c0 n0 j; k- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers% f7 t7 `" B9 B2 U1 s
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties) I' g j1 @* a# L+ ?3 Y& Y
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties( R( ?# N2 P+ L- e
- provide volunteers for various programs
) k$ D/ L8 P" _% E# i, n- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
3 I' @, p% s0 D- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation6 e- r2 S1 G7 s2 A6 t) k7 N. e) Y
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events ) U! m' I. ^% p1 Z( u: \2 y
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
9 {( e0 c3 R% ]! w8 W1 s- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers

Qualifications. u$ y) A4 e$ P% o2 u
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education/ n+ o; E8 L: |! [4 z. \
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
8 E/ _% z5 f P* @- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
- k3 }, e" U1 K" o$ h7 T. r. c& e- leadership skills9 S/ v! G4 s% p6 O" c- P
- management and supervision skills( A, |- A9 Y& U: Z, x
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
