- submit information for community news ) v2 }8 ~# F4 E6 |* U
- provide volunteers to update membership database
2 u1 s8 `# k" q7 @6 ]! `) J4 E- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
& w# G% h* r- E4 S; y- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties4 }% F8 Z. h, a: w
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
4 H/ K$ m0 i& j- provide volunteers for various programs
7 W" P0 v# y# [- G7 \- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
4 [% l3 ]3 h, m7 E j0 q; k) _$ G- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation2 \; f0 g& }' p
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities3 L1 z6 l) N+ @6 Y# E- y, ]8 ?
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services- w" x! f+ g) c7 ?8 L% L* j
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
; S4 M, H" _ F- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
/ g1 `# P5 ^3 ?* k' a- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
- T5 @6 ~ q6 d0 `- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
; m# ~( y# c! }9 |# x- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
3 `9 j3 r( V& d% J9 L+ E- development and distribution of a volunteer manual / I: [: n5 t7 `& p; _: X
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
3 y, z/ C( {9 j1 t- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
3 ]. W' u7 `. F2 n- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis # u: J; ]/ ?* F$ w1 u, }
- evaluations
/ q7 E' I9 ~+ W' ^; q1 j" C4 k& v- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

F! Y( g/ P. ]4 q" ` SQualifications# j/ l4 A0 T z& B3 y2 u
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
' K8 d! i8 m3 Y( H5 S/ l, Y- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
9 }" a K* \0 ]$ n& p" A" c7 C0 i1 ^! q- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services8 R9 H f8 \; V& U
- leadership skills+ Y# B+ X: {+ Q( h4 @( n" M4 Q
- management and supervision skills0 |' w/ A# o! ?3 _- q1 s
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
