- submit information for community news $ Y ?/ i4 o0 D, }( N: X. S
- provide volunteers to update membership database
1 v* O J u4 R/ t/ G- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers+ q' @7 A+ I! ~ [
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties4 l; l2 l8 y5 C2 j
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
* W8 U" \# X! j& H- provide volunteers for various programs 2 m3 ^, y( F6 F' h6 w5 E
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual' V& T) k, B2 w a0 w7 E
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation+ K+ d, b9 J5 _ T& h( t
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
, }& h9 A5 ~8 R, w8 C- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services4 O; B/ H: C5 Q1 ?' p* E# e: x
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
. z/ ^1 q' b0 ~2 u: Z6 _7 t- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
4 L7 ]2 t- D6 j5 J/ w- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed5 Z# g Z' C: W$ E' S
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)( h, u% l6 M# ~
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers ! {0 v( A4 C; f+ v# a) [
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
4 e1 Z! s& N1 d) I7 c6 T6 V o1 }- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis . y" D1 d' O! [! B& _$ K( S8 A4 u
- evaluations

Qualifications
$ E" J9 K' S1 y+ a- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education2 j1 s5 y- J* z2 D# g# r# r% `
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
, q1 m3 u$ s3 ?2 l- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services; A% K! V+ F% U! e
- leadership skills
' d7 p& F( s: `: j% ]* o- management and supervision skills
* \$ f) j3 a3 {' u- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills& |. Y( j6 j9 X7 q4 l2 s
