- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers

" c0 |, `: Q' c1 Y: M5 R- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
" t a8 }' G+ r9 u( |* L- provide volunteers for various programs # s8 `, o+ A9 \* s
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual

- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
+ g( m. c+ O; t0 k- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services) z$ k0 F( k( ~
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events ( f2 R& c( P% o6 H4 ^# u
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual 4 u0 O# V* s+ e* z
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers . B7 {/ I [5 C* g, |
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers 4 z& L- {' ?. g9 ]' W/ L1 r! [
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre+ q: x/ Z# @& e5 m; c

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education" Y( _8 |7 p U* m
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills: L1 j" c E( l' c' r
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
# Z2 L+ @2 d1 g. [( j8 f- leadership skills
7 R1 I% E9 n* K3 Z. C2 H- management and supervision skills
7 v( [ ?/ T4 W' h1 w) k& W$ }5 n! @& w- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
