Key Responsibilities

# R: ]4 S* W& M) u" B7 m- provide volunteers to update membership database
6 F4 V6 [; ~+ f' I- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers1 x) U, U( K* X9 f
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
# K4 P6 y. m; M+ `- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
* [! H% |, J4 @" g- provide volunteers for various programs 7 E$ [( K9 i1 l; `9 R' G( ]; z. r
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual5 ]# [3 D0 b6 r$ a
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation; G. u% Y7 F9 `8 h8 s3 D
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities( m/ N2 e: ~# N' C; q9 C
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services( @9 p: @2 x* S
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports B1 l4 _) k, o3 f7 M
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
! q; \) Z* ?, L) l! ?! d- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
% \8 Y- S8 K$ J0 D- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
. o; C$ b% q% h8 [4 f5 ~- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

; R5 ?- e5 J: J2 d7 J- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
9 j0 T( J$ c5 N6 r1 z" J- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers

, F3 k9 v! R+ w- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education

- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services, r* n ?/ S1 ` c5 s8 y/ e! j
- leadership skills! ^% X, u; }$ K
- management and supervision skills4 ]) C" R* u7 { v' V
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
