Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
, t R3 l! P. _- M• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person2 p) X/ a" n9 ^
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST+ B( s' }& }# _3 h& ], t9 j4 N2 Q
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately. p! o% G( x6 }2 N7 V0 K8 c
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter( G3 X& [& c8 y( K
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
9 F1 p4 x) K" K C0 D• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
' L2 W; G8 j1 j5 }• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
" L6 O9 |& T! @4 D! t• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters8 X( U$ U" r5 V/ `
• Maintain front counter service files

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
- [: k B2 d: O/ Y8 o. R• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset; e4 O( N% k! H2 r& J/ D
• Good English writing and oral communication skills; Q% C# w2 W' u$ V: L1 K! _. I
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

Qualifications:$ l L" W l' l, f) N. r- S7 D( e
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience % ]- z! p/ a& ?* r0 ^2 ?
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment1 W q' G) V( W/ }+ Z, U; _
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism0 E0 @% U* ] y" a p! q
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision4 f0 r. c M3 B2 a% ]3 N/ W& {
