Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. , V: ~1 m' H# s9 l: A

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
; |/ o2 b* e; P6 O5 |• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
9 i4 K; ?+ a& e% _• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
: f+ o! D8 W) }4 A) `0 ~• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
, S% v8 r r6 x• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents3 l' G7 q0 a3 ]. c9 \( u* K: S
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters5 N/ d/ {" {' s) L* ]4 X, @7 Y
• Maintain front counter service files% l# s3 X5 \. g$ n8 |/ \
• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person9 E' l2 S* z, U- b9 c
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset T( ` o$ w, [) X, {5 r& `
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
+ s y6 {; H9 ?• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients4 V3 q S* \( n; P
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds6 i2 j1 f( X3 b) Q$ W

Qualifications:1 O+ v* A8 l2 w" c/ u; T- L% R# I
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ! M- e8 U+ H% F( B p
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment' O) Q2 {) C5 g' g, ?9 |
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
: \5 c1 m% |+ P• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
