Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary:
2 v+ V" R- J# B. b& a8 Z( n& YWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 7 \% x" _1 N) U6 g- i# E Q) H

8 s2 }/ r3 w6 N/ H$ q7 x# ~" s2 O• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
" Z: c$ r! B b) v9 A. Y# p' E• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
7 Z4 R2 |$ `4 S% S• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately. i* h# R% f0 h3 `. G# k0 s
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
" L, T- X- @6 g1 W( w3 |! X' n g) B5 y• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents4 N- ~' M, D: m1 O: x+ b
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person' c& s& i& J2 O# L3 M2 M+ x8 T
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services* R1 S( _* ?$ `& G& n5 X2 r

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
! @4 c9 i3 s6 N. \0 m+ s• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment' f6 t2 {# C( ~
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
