Position Summary:
2 m* F; |0 N D+ mWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. : j% U# L( f+ I% y4 t: q- k
" w+ T, k& E2 x0 O, UKey Responsibilities:9 H/ g$ f, Z7 b0 ^2 ~8 P! a
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
, e- G# ?; M! `5 x& D0 p• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST: }; k3 @) i, G+ w
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 _3 K2 U! z. U4 u" b& t& z' T
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter6 J. }9 J' q9 Y5 s: V4 ^/ u; I/ G
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
* J' ?1 y. V" d8 Y9 n- q" v• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker) X$ e2 H$ P& ~- k5 Z {4 [2 x
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:. ^! C- ^8 {3 A% w& Y- b/ a
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
- ~ f, M p/ `• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset+ y- e& \: q" r- b
• Good English writing and oral communication skills/ v& I/ x# }. Y# s
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients6 @9 P7 }& T$ A
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
; t5 H! @ N9 A! w K! K• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
' i2 i c' w3 l8 i" X: e• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

4 a( M- N9 e- E$ g0 V! l# a• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
0 Z- ]+ E) d1 @$ C5 r. i: S• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism& S: W7 C; N) p1 d' a% W. R
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision& _; B9 W. U# ~2 h7 c, P6 z( O- Y8 Q9 h
