Position Summary:
( D0 r& o z! b: b0 cWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
0 i: _+ f/ r6 q; z& g) ^• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
5 V9 h- q/ I& T% S• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 w9 P( v- d2 D
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter b& Z3 _$ a9 U' q* Y# D" l
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents: E1 K4 i p' B; U
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
( m7 o% t7 |" j) g' f7 |• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean! L, R2 Y7 P/ L w: ?
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person; e' h# a: e% K `
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset1 @5 H0 Z9 |. x6 x" L$ l
• Good English writing and oral communication skills1 @4 {9 z4 ~5 W+ @) Y
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
7 R, B; M$ n4 r9 m• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook' B @% o% A! k6 \. ^$ Y8 u
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 7 p$ n6 f3 @7 z3 u4 K
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment& A- w+ M3 ]7 c1 h' L
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism. t1 o9 i5 b; C, K
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision: _6 v% y6 X$ a" }0 S1 x" ]
