/ V' e6 a9 v) O& r" z( o: JWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 1 `* s& f0 b- K9 p4 T# j

) q$ l7 J( |! g# M• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person" f' O# i2 |! @( w3 R G: i
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST4 |7 J5 f; h# u: T/ w
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
2 ]( Y/ S$ E" |8 [' D• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter+ F6 `3 l" d2 h7 P: d
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents3 I0 o; h- V. N/ r' |3 A
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker1 ~- K+ e0 z8 ?, U& H" Q* _
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
% T s: z4 }) o. L• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
( C$ M: i: n4 T! A8 j• Keep the reception area tidy and clean* ]7 ^6 U$ V8 Q7 S0 V
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
) {4 y) d( R5 u1 [$ @& Q• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person* l6 N( X3 m" q" U. G* w
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
2 R1 X. L3 F5 k" n1 i9 o• Good English writing and oral communication skills
8 R" x' q% w! ` S: ?' ?4 ]9 K+ N2 `• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
" Q% H1 c6 j9 j0 e• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook: I0 F9 s: a! B' W( D- @: N/ X
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately " l! r, l0 k0 E9 ~6 B( _: e
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds& F* k! u% g! V1 Q
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:
7 U3 d k! M% Q* ?8 o6 W' q$ D; ]• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
) L" P- x/ r. U• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
4 Z8 C) F9 Q# X* q5 G$ C• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism9 S2 z$ t5 F1 R0 i9 R" F- B$ x
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision0 M7 y u% t. B/ H
