within a body that boasts revolutionary technological advances. The 3D color
" r$ n& U& E5 O3 Z' xmatrix metering III, wide dynamic range and the improved AF performance
/ F r# |( r: }1 z( m3 \in low light are just a few features that are glaring improvements. The D800+ p+ G [% P2 H, E0 H( K1 p
allows me to concentrate on the light, the composition and my subject

was traditionally captured with medium-format equipment for maximum

When I’m shooting beauty and jewelry in the studio or fashion on location,- u Z' x2 U% j. o

Autofocus quickly tracks models in motion. Nikon’s 91K-pixel RGB sensor% t' p p; y4 v' @+ ~
has noticeable improvements in metering accuracy, while the larger LCD is5 D l% [" @: w0 T2 N$ d& y
easier to read. The camera body feels solid and ergonomically simple, while% G# k" x7 V5 r
also feeling lighter and smaller than previous high-resolution Nikons. New
, I3 P& Y5 w* L M9 w4 x0 u; Ecameras always inspire me to test and explore, and all the useful features2 H6 s5 e( H- E6 V2 _- U
in such a compact package will open huge creative possibilities for my highquality
! }0 `0 `" H2 o0 O! A" qprints and video.
! x B; H0 C* m uTo me, cameras are more like paintbrushes than technology. The goal is u& n$ x: l) W, \
not megapixels or technique but the image, and while camera models3 x2 w2 U" V$ W4 o! S$ p6 X* J
are important, they are not the be-all or end-all. But after a lifetime using
% W1 H' }+ j4 i5 Q4 S, W( k* m! ]countless cameras, I have found a new best friend. It was not love at first, Q: @- c h) W2 K9 _
sight. The sharpness and detail were initially intimidating, exposing my flaws

D800, I’ll never be the same again. Perhaps the best compliment I can express

architectural photography. From my hands-on experience I found that they

to work at unusual shooting locations and capture images in an exceptional
