-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
' U& \- ]& n7 F) O2 |technology;
; Q9 b& {3 q$ s7 N1 ], W6 X/ T5 I-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
-        Participate in peer reviews;
* j: f; A( z* l$ ]1 w6 h# }# g7 T-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
7 C- M. v8 H" z. {3 p' s! v-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
  S8 ^+ K& }1 f! k-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
# q: S; B% i. ?0 l' N-        Lead short term projects;
, R6 W0 v4 R: D" k0 u: v! C-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
3 x: e- Q, U% G& [-        Excellent written communication skills;
8 k+ @* d! W' W" C7 d-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
4 i1 {+ v, |, E1 ^$ \effective delivery of service; and
' A% a# q' j! b2 H7 j6 J" `  e( I-        Understanding of project management.

A. Mandatory Requirements
(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.
& x+ {- Z5 C: c9 f! Q4 \9 D
(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

: J, r6 m) M! h9 @0 ^% r  p: M- K4 ^(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).
& Q+ x& X; b( V3 L4 K, s
(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

7 j. @/ Z  z$ ?4 {* j# [5 X(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

  N3 X" z7 \/ q0 Z/ q  t0 A(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
- Infragistics controls
- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET

- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib
- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
$ }& z4 t5 T  {6 v( t- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
* j' W2 e3 e4 T$ w- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
